This year's conference will focus on “Young Infants” and we have secured a range of reputable and engaging keynote speakers focusing on this topic.

Following much feedback - this year we will also be adding an OPTIONAL 3rd day to the conference agenda (Monday 5th August 2023) for a DACCP Module Refresh.

DR ELISA ROUGH
MBBS, FRACP
Clinical Core Course Specialist (Pediatrics)

Elisa is a general paediatrician with a special interest in nutrition,supporting young people educationally and health and well-being. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1995.Elisa has worked extensively in paediatric hospitals in Victoria and interstate, and currently has a private practice, as well as teaching medical students through the University of Oceania. She aims to practice from an integrative whole team paediatric medicine approach, with a special focus on helping children and families thrive.

She works with allied and integrative health professionals, as well as education professionals to coordinate care for families.


Dr Rough will present 2 sessions:
1.     Diagnosis and symptoms of allergies and FPIES
2.     Appropriate referral pathways, management and best treatment option


DR SAM NASSAR
FRACP -Specialist in General Paediatrics

Dr Nassar completed his medical school at Kaunas Medical Academy, Lithuania. He was then awarded Certificate of Specialisation as a Paediatrician from the reputable Lebanese University in Beirut. Dr Nassar continued further training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead – Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) -Specialist in General Paediatrics.

Dr. Nassar worked in various tertiary hospitals. He relocated to Sydney and has worked as a Paediatric doctor at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for 10 years. He gained extensive experience and skills in managing children particularly with: behavioural concerns, developmental issues, newborn conditions, asthma, allergies, constipation, bedwetting, skin rashes and seizures.


DR GENEVIEVE DHARAMARAJ
B.SC., M.CHIRO (PAEDS), FIBFN-CND

Genevieve Dharamaraj is a pioneering healthcare professional specializing in functional neurology. With a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Chiropractic, she holds a Fellowship in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Genevieve is a published co-author, focusing on neuroplasticity in children. She's known for her case study on autism published in the Asia Pacific Chiropractic Journal. Genevieve is also an accomplished triathlete and trail runner. As the owner of Nurturing Brain Potential, she leads a team dedicated to unlocking cognitive potential. Genevieve's journey includes being the first female chiropractor in Malaysia and completing an Ironman. She has advanced training in autism management and has shadowed experts internationally. Under her leadership, Nurturing Brain Potential has seen remarkable success in helping nonverbal individuals transition to verbal communication.

LUKE STEWART

Luke graduated from Latrobe University in 2016 with a Masters Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. He has since been working at Orthokids as a paediatric clinical orthotist, specialising in the treatment of Cerebral Palsy, Pectus Carinatum, Developmental Dysplasia of the hip (DDH), Plagiocephaly and many other conditions.



MIRANDA MENZEL

Miranda Menzel is a Mental Health Clinician based in Port Lincoln, SA working in private practice within a clinic dedicated to Antenatal patients. She takes a special interest in antenatal therapy, having completed significant professional development and training in this area. Miranda takes a very laid-back yet directive approach in therapeutic settings, believing the only way to make someone feel comfortable is by creating an environment where they feel like they are at home with an old friend.

Miranda’s PhD investigated the impact of pornography use within the family and its relationship wider impacts on the partners of the user. Her passion for relationship and family therapy is extended to the wider community in Port Lincoln which has seen great rapport within the community. 

Miranda has recently worked at the University of Adelaide in rural medical research and works alongside her husband in developing and building sustainable homes on the Eyre Peninsula.  They share one son, Arie, and have another child due in early May.
