D.PHILLIPSDavid Phillips - Clinical Orthotist

David graduated from Lincoln School of Health Sciences with his Diploma of Applied Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 1991. This course was upgraded to a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics in 1994. David completed the additional Latrobe University training and graduated with a Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics in 1994.

David began his professional career as an Orthotist at the Royal Children's Hospital in 1991. He worked there in the Paediatric Orthotic field until 1998, and has continued within this area of expertise by co-founding Orthotic Innovations which became Orthokids in 2009. David has authored several book chapters on the Orthotic Management of Spina Bifida. He was invited as Australia's Orthotic Representative to an International Medical Conference for Cerebral Palsy at Oxford University in 2008.

David currently holds an honorary position in the Royal Children's Hospital Orthopaedic Department. This association allows him to treat many complex patients and work closely with the RCH Orthopaedic Surgeons and Allied Health Team.

David is the Orthokids Clinical Manager and works collaboratively with the clinical team at Orthokids.

 

J.KestenbergDr Jeffrey M Kestenberg - General Dentist

Dr Jeffrey Kestenberg graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1980 and completed his Masters Degree in prosthodontics in 1982. In 1983 he was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

He has a keen interest in microdentistry, minimally invasive dentistry and laser dentistry. In recognition of his efforts, Jeff was awarded a Fellowship of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry. He also has an interest in the dental treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Jeff has been at Coburg Dental Group since 1981 and is a consultant in Prosthodontics at Monash Medical Centre where he treats cancer patients after mouth surgery to reconstruct their teeth.
He has also lectured locally, interstate and overseas to undergraduate and graduate dentists on laser dentistry, prosthodontics and obstructive sleep apnoea.

 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the most recent research in the fields of orthotic management and tongue-tie management, as well as creating referral networks and earning FLA all while enjoying a delightful, 3-course dinner.
